This is my last post for this series - sadly I have to say that there are enough names on my list Monty and I haven't post yet that could fill at least another month of breast cancer awareness.

I want to say:

Had a radical mastectomy - and fully recovered.

Was one of the first prominent persons to speak openly about the disease.

Christina Applegate

November 25, 1971

Diagnosed in 2008 and had a double mastectomy and made a full recovery as did her mom,

Nancy Priddy, a breast cancer survivor too.

And this year Christina gave birth to her first child, daughter Sadie Grace with husband Martyn LeNoble

Diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 1980's.

Allegedly she first believed it was her destiny and hesitated to go under treatment - but her friend Marina Vlady convinced her..

Diagnosed in 2001 with breast cancer

Currently residing in New York with her husband Richard Gilder

Kate Jackson

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and 1989.

Had a partial mastectomy and radiation.

After winnig against that disease (twice! yay for that!) she is now dedicated to make people aware of the importance of mammograms.

July 9, 1942

Diagnosed in 1993 with a rare form of male breast cancer.

He underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy and currently living a full and rich life

Lynn Redgrave

March 8, 1943 - May 2, 2010

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and wrote a book with her youngest daughter called Journal: A Mother and Daughter's Recovery From Breast Cancer during this period of her life.
